Job Description

  • Define and lead end-to-end system architecture across silicon, firmware, software drivers, and hardware platforms.
  • Own system-level architecture for connectivity products, including USB, PCIe, UART, I²C, SPI, GPIO, and related interfaces.
  • Drive architectural trade-off decisions involving performance, latency, power efficiency, scalability, and system integration.
  • Work closely with product management on product strategy, roadmap planning, and competitive differentiation.
  • Partner directly with customers to capture requirements and support complex technical discussions.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across analog, digital, firmware, software, package, test, and applications teams.
  • Own system specifications, architecture documentation, and design reviews.
  • Support products throughout the full lifecycle, from concept and feasibility studies through silicon bring-up, validation, qualification, and mass production.
  • Act as a technical leader and mentor for engineering teams within the connectivity domain.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 9+ years of experience, Master's degree with 7+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.
  • Strong expertise in USB, PCIe, and high-speed connectivity architectures.
  • Deep understanding of serial and peripheral interfaces, including UART, I²C, SPI, and GPIO.
  • Proven experience defining architectures spanning silicon, firmware, software drivers, and hardware integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives across multiple disciplines and global teams.
  • Track record of successfully delivering semiconductor products from architecture definition through high-volume production.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with both customers and internal engineering teams.
