Job Description

  • Lead mechanical design of complex parts and assemblies
  • Translate ID concepts into mass‑producible designs
  • Own mechanical subsystems and design architecture
  • Perform CAD, CAE, and tolerance analysis
  • Ensure quality, cost, reliability, and user experience targets
  • Drive DFM, tooling development, and design debug
  • Resolve complex mechanical and manufacturing issues
  • Partner with suppliers, ODMs, and manufacturing teams
  • Contribute to technology roadmap and platform strategy
  • Improve design processes and engineering workflows
  • Mentor and coach junior mechanical engineers
  • Collaborate with global cross‑functional teams

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years in consumer electronics mechanical design
  • Strong front‑end product design experience
  • Deep knowledge of plastics, tooling, and injection moulding
  • Knowledge of metal stamping and structural design
  • Expert user of Creo and CAE tools
  • Strong skills in DFMEA, DFMA, and tolerance analysis
  • Proven leadership and risk management capability
  • Hands‑on prototyping and problem‑solving skills
  • Good understanding of project management principles
  • Fluent English communication skills



Preferred Background

  • Experience with video conference or audio/video products
  • HW/SW integrated products such as IP cameras welcome
  • Experience working with global ODM or JDM partners
  • Comfortable in fast‑paced environments and travel
