This role focuses on the development of GPON, XGS-PON, and 25G PON broadband optical networking platforms, covering hardware architecture, optical interface design, and system validation. You will collaborate across R&D, manufacturing, and NPI teams to deliver high-performance optical access products for global telecommunications markets.

Job Description

  • Design and develop hardware architecture for GPON, XGS-PON, and 25G PON broadband optical platforms.
  • Lead optical interface design for ONT, ONU, and OLT products, including component integration and validation.
  • Optimize optical performance including Tx/Rx budget, receiver sensitivity, burst-mode operation, and temperature compensation.
  • Integrate and debug Broadcom PON SoC and PHY solutions, supporting system bring-up and performance tuning.
  • Support PCB review, production validation, NPI activities, factory testing, and yield improvement initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Optical Communication, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in hardware development for optical networking, broadband access, or telecommunications products.
  • Familiarity with PON technologies such as GPON, XGS-PON, or 25G PON is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of optical components including BOSA, BOB, optical modules, laser drivers, TIA, PD, and APD.
  • Strong debugging, validation, and cross-functional collaboration skills with a hands-on engineering mindset.
