Optical Transceiver Hardware Engineer / Manager

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Business Support

• Partner with Sales and Field Applications Engineering teams to secure design wins and strengthen strategic customer relationships.
• Gather and define system requirements, application specifications, and technical expectations from customers.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical workshops, and customer presentations.
• Support customer design-in activities, system bring-up, validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Provide technical training to regional sales and application engineering teams.

Product Validation & Technical Support

• Investigate and reproduce customer-reported issues and perform first-level debugging analysis.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams to efficiently resolve technical challenges.
• Execute regression testing, stress testing, and product validation activities.
• Conduct field evaluations and analyse performance data for new product releases.

Product Development Support

• Develop reference designs for customer evaluations and system validation.
• Create test plans, execute validation procedures, and generate technical reports.
• Prepare and maintain customer-facing technical documentation, including datasheets, user guides, and application notes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve product reliability, quality, and overall user experience.

Market & Technology Analysis

• Conduct feasibility studies for new features and emerging technologies.
• Support product roadmap planning and new product definition activities.
• Perform competitive analysis and market research to identify industry trends and opportunities.

Laboratory & Operations Support

• Manage PCB fabrication and assembly vendors for prototype development.
• Support evaluation kit (EVK) testing, qualification, and deployment to customers and field teams.
• Assist in hardware validation and characterisation activities.
