Job Description

  • Define and drive the company's overall technology vision, architecture strategy, and engineering roadmap.
  • Lead and scale a large engineering organization of 130+ members, including managing multiple engineering directors, managers, and technical leaders.
  • Build a high-performance engineering culture focused on ownership, agility, execution quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee large-scale distributed systems, platform reliability, system scalability, security, and infrastructure modernization.
  • Drive platform evolution to support high-traffic, transaction-heavy consumer applications and mission-critical business operations.
  • Partner closely with Product, Business, Operations, Marketing, and Data teams to align technology initiatives with business priorities.
  • Lead organizational transformation initiatives, including cloud modernization, AI adoption, data platform enhancement, automation, and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Establish engineering governance, technical standards, development processes, and organizational KPIs.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and long-term platform competitiveness.

The Successful Applicant

  • 15+ years of technology and engineering leadership experience, including managing large-scale software engineering organizations.
  • Proven experience leading organizations with 100+ engineers and multiple layers of engineering management.
  • Strong background in e-commerce, retail technology, marketplace platforms, digital consumer products, or high-concurrency internet services.
  • Experience operating large-scale, high-availability platforms with millions of users or high transaction volumes.
  • Strong understanding of modern software architecture, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, data platforms, and engineering best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational transformation, scaling initiatives, and cross-functional business collaboration.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
