We are seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead the full spectrum of Finance & Controlling for a trading/retail-oriented business. This role drives financial strategy, ensures robust financial governance, enhances analytical insights, and supports commercial decision-making. You will partner closely with the General Manager and regional finance teams to strengthen financial performance, optimize cashflow, and support the company's path to profitability.

Job Description



We are seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead the full spectrum of Finance & Controlling for a trading/retail-oriented business. This role drives financial strategy, ensures robust financial governance, enhances analytical insights, and supports commercial decision-making. You will partner closely with the General Manager and regional finance teams to strengthen financial performance, optimize cashflow, and support the company's path to profitability.

  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy to support commercial growth and long-term profitability.
  • Oversee end-to-end financial management, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive cashflow optimization, pricing analysis, and cost control for a sales-centric business model.
  • Supervise tax planning, tax compliance, and risk management frameworks.
  • Guide preparation of financial statements and management reports for both local leadership and regional headquarters.
  • Lead the upgrade and optimization of the financial system (SAP / S4 Hana) and enhance process standardization.
  • Strengthen internal controls, improve finance workflows, and streamline operational efficiency.
  • Manage and develop the Finance, Controlling, and Procurement teams, elevating capability and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional business units to provide financial insights and commercial support.



The Successful Applicant

  • 10+ years of finance experience, including leadership roles in multinational companies.
  • Strong accounting foundation with hands-on experience in end-to-end finance operations.
  • Proven commercial mindset with the ability to interpret numbers and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience in trading, distribution, or retail-oriented environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with regional reporting or matrix organizations (experience with APAC / North Asia a plus).
  • Solid experience in SAP; exposure to S4 Hana upgrade is highly advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner with senior stakeholders.
  • Fluent English required.
  • Agile, business-partnering mindset; comfortable navigating a fast-paced, sales-driven environment.
