This Senior Quality Engineer role is responsible for product, process, supplier, reliability, and customer quality for advanced optical modules and optical engine products, including VCSEL and silicon photonics technologies. The position leads quality planning, qualification, supplier management, reliability validation, and root cause investigations to ensure product performance, yield, and customer satisfaction.

Job Description

  • Lead quality planning activities including DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, CTQ definition, qualification plans, and product release readiness.
  • Manage supplier and ODM/CM quality performance through audits, process qualification, SPC review, and corrective action programs.
  • Drive product qualification and reliability validation according to industry and customer quality standards.
  • Lead customer complaint investigations, failure analysis, CAPA implementation, and 8D problem-solving activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to improve product quality, reliability, and process capability.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Optoelectronics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of quality engineering experience within optical transceiver, photonics, semiconductor, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of quality methodologies including DFMEA, PFMEA, SPC, MSA/GR&R, 8D, DOE, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience in supplier quality management, failure analysis, corrective actions, and customer quality support.
  • Familiarity with optical module manufacturing, reliability standards, and global quality management systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100 is highly preferred.
