Job Description

  • Act as a key Legal & Corporate Affairs Business Partner, providing commercially focused legal advice to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage the review, drafting, and negotiation of commercial agreements, ensuring contractual risks are appropriately addressed.
  • Advise cross-functional stakeholders on legal and compliance matters, translating complex regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
  • Assess legal implications of new business initiatives, commercial projects, and operational changes to support informed decision-making.
  • Oversee commercial disputes and coordinate with external counsel on litigation, settlement strategies, and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor evolving legislation and regulatory developments, assessing potential implications for business operations and long-term strategy.
  • Support the development of corporate positions on regulatory and industry matters, working closely with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate regulatory communications, compliance updates, and required submissions to ensure alignment with applicable legal obligations.
  • Engage with industry associations and external stakeholders on regulatory matters, representing the company's commercial and compliance interests.
  • Contribute to corporate responsibility and stakeholder engagement initiatives, strengthening the organization's reputation and long-term business sustainability.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Law from a university in Taiwan; an overseas LL.M. qualification is an advantage.
  • 8+ years of legal experience gained from a reputable law firm or in-house legal function, ideally within a multinational environment.
  • Strong foundation in commercial contracts, corporate legal advisory, compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Business-level English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing, alongside excellent Chinese drafting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide practical, commercially minded legal advice while balancing business objectives with regulatory requirements.
  • Interest or experience in Corporate Affairs, public policy, regulatory developments, or industry stakeholder engagement is highly desirable.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legislation and assess business implications.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with confidence working across business functions and external parties.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint, would be an advantage.
