Job Description

  1. Supplier Quality Strategy & Management:
    Develop and implement supplier quality strategies, including qualification, audits, and performance monitoring, to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  2. Collaboration with Component Engineering:
    Work closely with the Component Engineering team to ensure sourced components meet design specifications, material requirements, and functional expectations.
  3. Ability to Read Circuit Diagrams & Solve Technical Issues:
    Be able to interpret circuit diagrams and provide technical analysis of electronic components from suppliers. Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
  4. Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement:
    Apply quality tools and standards (ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, etc.) to strengthen supplier processes and lead initiatives to reduce defects and quality costs.
  5. Cross-functional Communication & Team Leadership:
    Lead and mentor the quality team while collaborating with R&D, production, and procurement departments to enhance product quality and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics Engineering, Component Engineering, or Physics (Master's or Ph.D. is a plus).
  • Solid understanding of electronic components, material characteristics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Able to independently read and interpret circuit diagrams and understand the structure and function of components.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in supplier quality, including supplier qualification, auditing, and performance improvement.
  • Well-versed in quality standards and tools, including ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
  • Strong Problem-Solving and Cross-Functional Communication
  • Experience leading quality engineers or technical teams, with a focus on coaching and development.
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally for supplier audits and collaboration.
