Sr. Signal Integration Engineer

Hsinchu City Permanent View Job Description
Drive board‑level SI/PI analysis and simulation for high‑speed consumer hardware, ensuring robust performance across complex PCB and system architectures. You'll work closely with development teams to identify design risks early, optimize interconnects and PDN, and translate simulation insights into concrete design improvements.
  • Join a Global consumer leader known for innovation and engineer‑driven products.
  • Own SI/PI for high‑speed products used worldwide from design to real hardware.

About Our Client

A leading global consumer electronics company known for designing and delivering products that millions of people use every day. The engineering teams sit at the heart of the business and are encouraged to experiment, challenge the status quo, and bring new ideas to life.

Job Description

  • Work closely with hardware and layout teams, reviewing schematics and PCB designs (using tools such as Allegro and OrCAD) to ensure high‑speed signal integrity requirements are met.
  • Perform board‑level SI simulations, including impact of mechanical construction and stack‑up, using Sigrity, Ansys or equivalent tools to resolve high‑speed design challenges.
  • Build accurate, power‑aware S‑parameter models for key interconnects and use them in system‑level simulations to predict performance and margins.
  • Analyze and optimize the Power Delivery Network (PDN) through AC frequency analysis and both pre‑layout and post‑layout simulations, achieving PDN targets while controlling cost.
  • Evaluate near‑field E/H fields and radiation behavior to identify EMI‑sensitive structures, recommend shielding and Faraday cage strategies, and assess system susceptibility to external interference.
  • Correlate simulation results with lab measurements, debug critical signal issues on real hardware, and provide clear feedback and design recommendations to development teams.
  • Partner with cross‑functional design teams to highlight SI/PI risks, propose mitigation strategies, and support the implementation of robust high‑speed interfaces in mass‑production products.

The Successful Applicant

Technical Requirements

  • Strong hands‑on experience with SI/PI simulation tools, ideally the Sigrity X platform (PowerSI, SystemSI) or similar industry‑standard solutions.
  • Solid understanding of S‑parameters, crosstalk, jitter, and decoupling strategy, including capacitor selection and placement optimization.
  • Deep knowledge of multilayer PCB design, complex via structures, and digital high‑speed interfaces such as HDMI, USB, MIPI, PCIe, and Ethernet.
  • Proven ability to analyze, debug, and resolve critical signal integrity issues in real time, correlating lab data with simulation results.
  • Experience working closely with development teams to identify design weaknesses and provide practical, implementable solutions.

Background & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in electronic circuit or high‑speed hardware design for medium to high‑density products.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience using SI/PI simulation tools in a product development environment.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with global consumer tech standards.
  • Opportunity to work on globally shipped consumer products with high visibility and real user impact.
  • Work with a technically strong, cross‑disciplinary team where SI/PI expertise is highly valued in the design cycle.
