Job Description

  • Developing and implementing firmware applications for industrial and manufacturing systems.
  • Conducting system testing to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Working collaboratively with the Engineering team to design innovative solutions.
  • Documenting all phases of the firmware development process.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
  • Providing technical support to other team members as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Firmware Engineer should have:

  • An educational background in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in firmware development and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded systems and microcontrollers.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C or C++.
  • Practical experience with Linux kernel development, including subsystems and device drivers.
  • Solid knowledge of UEFI, ACPI, and/or Devicetree frameworks.
  • Proficiency in assembly language programming.
  • Strong understanding of modern processor architectures, including cache operations and memory system behavior.
  • Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
