Our client is flooring experts, their leadership is based on one of the broadest product offerings in the industry as well as on its global and regional rankings in all the major types of floor coverings (excluding ceramics) and surface segments. They offer to their customers one of the largest portfolios of flooring and sports surface solutions, and they share with their customers our expertise in multiple market segments.

Job Description

  • Undertake specific market analysis where necessary.
  • Instigates plans to counteract competitor activity.
  • Work with the regional head to finalize the plans and be in the front line to apply them.
  • Forecast and achieve sales target with profitable margin.
  • Manage; retain and develop relationships with existing clients / stakeholders (distributors, designers, project managers, main contractors and end users).
  • Establish and develop new client base, particularly grow distribution channels for geographical coverage.
  • Support the business development of our product portfolio through the opening of new channels.
  • Engaging close communications with distributors especially product update.
  • Ensures that the distributor/s keep the right inventoried items in adequate volume and promote them.
  • Grow the DIY chain retail business, forecast and manage inventory.
  • Manage key accounts and assist clients in marketing materials, samples, technical issues and proposal of suitable product for their projects.
  • Equip deep product knowledge and value proposition.
  • Abreast the latest company developments (e.g. New Product Launch, NPL) and potential market opportunities.
  • Promote and disseminate information (e.g. USP for the NPL) to the stakeholders.
  • Write business proposals (e.g. project pitch ppt).
  • Arrange meetings to present the Company and products to customers.
  • Increase company brand awareness in the market.
  • Develop close working relationships with key decision makers o Increase the number of specifications and closely follow-up until it is converted into actual sales.
  • Negotiating with stakeholders.
  • Liaises with Customer Service to ensure material availability, right pricing and in-time shipment scheduling.

The Successful Applicant

  • Ability to identify and follow through the sales selling cycle (project lead > specification > tender > closing > order entry > delivery > installation > post sales management)
  • Knowledgeable of local culture.
  • Good command of English and Mandarin, both verbal and in writing.
  • Passionate, self-driven, well-organized, details-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Strong communicator, able to communicate at both architect and contractor level.
  • Strong analytical skills, good planning and organizing skills with ability to cope with changes.
  • Well verse in Microsoft Office, SAP & CRM system.
  • 3-5 years' experience in flooring / building material industry preferred.
  • University graduate, preferably in business or related studies
