Job Description

  • Training Program Development: Design and develop training programs tailored to the specific needs of employees in retail, sales, customer service, and other relevant areas.
  • Onboarding: Create and manage onboarding processes to ensure new hires receive comprehensive training to quickly acclimate to their roles and the company culture.
  • Leadership Development: Implement initiatives to foster leadership skills among management and potential future leaders within the organization.
  • Performance Management: Collaborate with HR and department managers to identify performance gaps and develop training interventions to address them.
  • E-learning and Technology: Incorporate e-learning platforms and other technological tools to enhance training delivery and accessibility.
  • Compliance Training: Ensure all employees are trained on relevant compliance and regulatory requirements, especially in areas like safety protocols and data privacy.
  • Evaluation and Assessment: Develop metrics and assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Employee Engagement: Promote a culture of continuous learning and development to increase employee engagement and retention.

The Successful Applicant

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field. A master's degree may be preferred for senior roles.
  • Experience: Previous experience in learning and development roles, preferably within the retail industry or a similar customer-facing environment.
  • Retail Knowledge: Understanding of retail operations, sales processes, and customer service best practices.
  • Training Expertise: Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and training methodologies.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate teams, as well as influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis to assess training needs, track performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with e-learning platforms, learning management systems (LMS), and other training-related technologies.
