Regional Business Director (Japan-Focused)

Our client is a global consumer giant with strong brand name in the market, being known for its high quality and diversity. In line of their growth strategies in APAC region, they are looking for a seasoned director to look after commercial function.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director in APAC region, you will be responsible for driving commercial function across APAC region to further build brand awareness and drive growth. Given the current team setting, you will have the initial key focus in product marketing and strategic planning - ranging from product launch, managing product P&L and advertising and promotion budget, channel marketing to digital transformation.
To qualify, you need to speak fluent Japanese and English given the strong focus in Japan market among all APAC market. Proficiency in Mandarin is a big plus. You need to be comfortable working independently while working with stakeholders across the region in a virtual setting. Good sensitivity to sales figures and P&L is critical and you should also possess good industry insights about consumer products - especially in view of evolving digital world. High flexibility on travelling and work location will be required.
