About Our Client

Our client is a leading consumer good business with strong global portfolio of brands. They are now looking for a Public Policy Manager to look after Taiwan business as well as Hong Kong market.

Job Description

  • Oversee and manage all regulatory affairs for Taiwan.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop campaign plans and strategies for establishing relationships with government institutions, supporting company policy initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs in Taiwan to plan and execute partner reputation management projects.
  • Assess public policy and regulatory landscapes to identify risks and opportunities impacting the company.
  • Identify and engage third-party associations, coalitions, and key opinion leaders.
  • Develop insights on current and emerging regulatory issues.
  • Enhance the company's profile with all levels of government partners in Taiwan, ensuring a strong reputation among investors and preferred partners.
  • Identify and connect with key partners for New Category and existing products.
  • Provide primary business intelligence on government marketing activities and secondary intelligence on market and competitor developments to ensure the company maintains a competitive edge.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Political Science, Law, Public Policy or Life Science
  • 8+ years of relevant working experience in renowned corporations, particularly in the areas of public policy, government relations, and public affairs
  • Good team player with the ability to work collaboratively with team members across functions and geographies
  • Possess strong analytical skill and sound knowledge of current local and international affairs
  • Self-driven individual with ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgement and make good decisions in the face of uncertainty
  • Strong advocacy, communication, presentation, and consensus-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English and Chinese
