Job Description

  • Know the clients (owners, operators, shipyards, designers) in the region, understand their business and which projects they are working on
  • Understand the customers' decision processes (Buying centre / Decision Making Unit)
  • Analyze the competitors for each application and in each project (e.g. competing engine type & configuration) and their local representatives
  • Be the contact partner for clients related to all two-stroke newbuilding matters and auxiliary fourstroke gensets - involvement in technical questions, training and integration with other makers
  • Present MAN ES Standard presentations, e.g. two-stroke new-building and auxiliary systems such as Emission Technologies, dual fuel supply systems, etc.
  • Establish and maintain close client relationships that give Energy Solutions the possibility for client visits. Be the local facilitator of meetings and shape the situations according to the intercultural context.
  • Regularly update HQ about market trends and requirements
  • Support PrimeServ after sales business in promotion of retrofit solutions to our customers

The Successful Applicant

  • Have an existing strong network within the marine industry (owners, shipyards and ship designers)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluent at oral and written in English and Chinese
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft products and using this daily plus CRM usage
  • Strong knowledge of shipboard systems and propulsion engines, preferably with MAN engines
  • Have good technical two-stroke engine knowledge and awareness of ships and operations
  • Approx. 10 years or more of experience in sales or marine technical role
  • Be able to create strategies to influence our customers in choosing MAN for their next vessel main engine and auxiliary systems.
