Job Description

  • Lead the execution of operational strategies to ensure long-term capacity optimization and world-class manufacturing performance.
  • Foster a strong safety culture by driving accountability and compliance with all legal, environmental, and safety regulations across plant operations.
  • Build and lead a high-performing operations leadership team; attract, retain, and develop core manufacturing talent to achieve year-over-year improvements in safety, quality, throughput, lead time, on-time delivery, yield, and gross margin.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally-both locally and globally-to optimize product performance, ensure reliable customer supply, and deliver strong financial outcomes.
  • Oversee new product introductions and production ramps, ensuring advanced manufacturing systems and automated process controls deliver statistically capable and reliable results.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC methodologies to drive operational excellence.
  • Serve as the senior site leader, engaging regularly with cross-functional teams in Taiwan and globally to align strategies, share updates, and maintain a cohesive operational vision.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; advanced degree in Operations Management or related field strongly preferred.
  • Over 15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or operations leadership, ideally within a global setting; international exposure is a strong advantage.
  • Proven operational leadership in large-scale semiconductor equipment, components, specialty chemicals, or complex manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience in both continuous and discrete manufacturing processes across high-mix/low-volume and high-volume/low-mix product lines, including new product introductions and ramps.
  • Collaborative and cross-functional leader who actively seeks input beyond their own function and considers global/regional implications in decision-making.
  • Demonstrated success leading within a matrixed organization, navigating complexity with influence and agility.
  • Strategic and innovative problem solver who promotes calculated risk-taking and leads with resilience and humility; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Strong customer orientation with a hands-on approach to resolving customer issues and guiding teams toward effective solutions.
  • Proven track record in talent development and succession planning, with a strong focus on building organizational capability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences across all organizational levels.
  • Experienced in managing capital projects and leading capacity expansion initiatives.
  • Willing and able to travel internationally as required.
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor or advanced manufacturing industries is highly desirable.
