Permits and Approvals Manager
About Our Client
Our client provides advisory and capital raising services to corporate and government clients involved in public mergers and acquisitions, private treaty acquisitions and divestments, debt and equity fund raising and corporate restructuring. It also undertakes principal investing activities globally in support of its client activities.
Reporting to the Project Management Office Lead you will work together with the permits and stakeholder team, contractors, advisors and team members to manage the regulatory approvals and requirements relevant to the development, construction and operational phases of the projects.
During the development phase you will work with the permits and stakeholder teams in order to secure the required project consents and to manage relationships with key authorities and stakeholders. You will review all relevant regulations in order to prepare and maintain a programme for achieving consents and you will ensure that these consents allow for the delivery of optimal projects. You will provide advice to the wider project team on the relevant regulatory and authority requirements and ensure that all work required to achieve the consents is undertaken in accordance with appropriate health and safety considerations.
You will take responsibility for providing relevant consents and environmental input into tender documentation and you will work closely with package and contract managers to ensure that all permit requirements are scoped into the relevant contracts.
During the construction phase you will work with package managers and contractors to ensure compliance with the permits and stakeholder requirements. You will also maintain regular engagement with key authorities and stakeholders in order to provide status updates and ensure that any stakeholder concerns are resolved.
It is important that you are able to establish and maintain good working relationships with our project partners and consents and engineering consultancies, who are engaged in the process to support consents.
The Successful Applicant
You will have a bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental or regulatory policy, engineering or similar and a minimum of 5 years' experience working with an energy developer, government authority, utility, or related field performing permitting or regulatory roles.
You will have worked with the relevant authorities and stakeholders previously and an in-depth understanding of the Environmental Impact Assessment and other relevant Taiwanese regulatory processes is required.
Lastly, you must be fluent in Mandarin and have strong English skills.
