This role is responsible for defining and governing process control technology across a large-scale chemical manufacturing site and regional network. You will act as the technical authority for DCS, functional safety, and plant automation, ensuring reliability, compliance, and long-term performance.

Job Description

  • Act as the site-level PCT (Process Control Technology) lead, defining standards, governance, and best practices
  • Drive maintenance strategy and long-term reliability of control systems
  • Lead DCS and PCT capability development, including training programs and knowledge transfer
  • Own PCT scope for capital investment projects, including technical design, execution, and acceptance
  • Govern plant modifications from safety, reliability, and process control perspectives
  • Maintain control system configurations, documentation, and compliance records
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and safety frameworks
  • Drive automation and digitalization initiatives across the plant and regional network
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, HSE, and project teams
  • Provide expert-level support to APAC sites on process control and improvement initiatives
  • Act as Functional Safety Expert (APAC) and Machinery Safety lead (site level)

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial plant environments (chemical, petrochemical, or similar)
  • Strong expertise in DCS, PLC, HMI/SCADA, and instrumentation
  • Solid experience in functional safety (SIS / SIL / lifecycle management)
  • Proven track record in leading capital projects with ownership of control systems scope
  • Ability to operate as a technical authority and influence cross-functional teams
  • Experience in plant operations, reliability, or process control engineering
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
  • Fluent in English with experience working in regional or global environments
