Job Description

Leveraged Engineering team seeks a Mechanical Expert to provide technical support for plant operations and capital projects across the Asia Pacific region. The role focuses on equipment design, troubleshooting, and mechanical integrity for systems such as piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and tanks, ensuring compliance with ASME/API codes and RAGAGEP standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate fitness-for-service and support failure prevention for pressure systems (metallic & non-metallic).
  • Provide engineering solutions for mechanical issues across piping, pressure relief devices, tanks, and heat exchangers.
  • Conduct pipe stress analysis (training in ANSYS/CAESAR II provided).
  • Support inspections, repairs, factory acceptance testing, and equipment commissioning.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead or participate in rapid-response task forces (SWAT team) to resolve urgent equipment failures or production issues in APAC.



The Successful Applicant

  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years in mechanical engineering, technical service, or maintenance within chemical or polymer industries
  • 5+ years with rotating machinery, piping, vessels, non-metallics, and pressure relief systems
  • Familiar with static equipment and overpressure protection systems (valves, rupture disks, flame arrestors, etc.)
  • Experience in non-metallics (e.g., FRP tanks, plastic-lined piping)
  • Well-versed in RAGAGEP standards (ASME, API, ASTM) and regulatory compliance (OSHA, PED, etc.)
  • Skilled in equipment inspection, repair, and supplier audits
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or SolidWorks
