Job Description

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and analyses to identify the company's evolving legal needs and develop strategic action plans.
  • Ensure strict adherence to local regulations and internal company policies.
  • Champion the defense of the company's interests across diverse legal fronts, contributing insights to trade association initiatives and consistently making legal decisions that align with business objectives.
  • Proactively monitor shifts in the regulatory landscape and institute requisite controls and measures to ensure the company's ongoing compliance with emerging regulations.
  • Lead negotiations and formalize agreements of various kinds, in addition to facilitating the implementation of global company policies.
  • Provide support on corporate governance matters as needed.
  • Assess the necessity for and liaise with external legal advisors as appropriate.
  • Conduct targeted training sessions as requested to enhance organizational legal literacy and compliance awareness.

The Successful Applicant

  • Demonstrated ability to establish robust partnerships across various levels and with diverse stakeholder groups, with a track record of successfully navigating complex organizational dynamics.
  • Proven expertise in written and oral communication in English, with a keen emphasis on clarity, persuasiveness, and accuracy. Adept at conducting thorough analyses, organizing information effectively, and employing strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to drive favorable outcomes.
  • Ability to deliver succinct, pragmatic, and timely counsel to business units, balancing commercial imperatives with legal considerations. Capable of grasping both the financial and legal dimensions of business decisions.
  • Hands-on approach and proactive mindset, with a history of taking initiative and assuming leadership roles as needed.
  • Willingness to tackle projects of varying scopes and complexities, demonstrating adaptability and agility.
  • Capacity to effectively manage a substantial workload and competing priorities, efficiently handling multiple tasks concurrently.
