This role leads the end-to-end regulatory reporting cycle-owning accuracy, governance, and communication with local authorities. You'll partner closely with internal and external stakeholders while driving process upgrades that lift the Finance function's overall performance.

Job Description

  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of statutory reports and surveys with precision and reliability.
  • Coordinate reporting activities to ensure high-quality outputs for regulators and internal stakeholders.
  • Handle ad-hoc requests from internal teams, external auditors, and supervisory bodies with clarity and speed.
  • Resolve identified reporting issues promptly and ensure proper documentation is in place.
  • Uphold compliance with accounting standards, internal frameworks, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare clear evidentiary support for reported figures and financial estimates.
  • Serve as a central liaison across Operations, Front Office, Internal Audit, regulators, and external audit partners.
  • Encourage teams to follow accounting policies and statutory reporting expectations.
  • Build constructive relationships with local authorities and professionals in the financial services sector.
  • Drive efficiency improvements, optimize reporting processes, and encourage best-practice adoption across Finance.
  • Guide and support your team through change while maintaining engagement, clarity, and collaboration.

The Successful Applicant

  • Broad experience in financial service with strong grounding in financial reporting, controls, and governance.
  • Hands-on expertise in statutory and regulatory accounting within a banking environment.
  • A sharp problem-solving mindset, capable of navigating complex reporting and regulatory expectations.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects and lead transformation or change initiatives.
  • A leadership style that builds trust, strong engagement, and cohesive team performance.
  • Full working proficiency in both English and Mandarin for cross-functional communication.
