Job Description

Reward Best Practice Advocate

  • The position will be the direct support to the Global Reward Leader and advocate for strategic reward best practices, incorporating contents of job framework and reward guidelines into comprehensive and thought-out compensation approaches, strategies that are responsive to business's needs and aligned to the overall HR strategy

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the key advocate of the Reward Leader and hold responsibility for the implementation, and integration of the GJF program into the current HR CoE operating model, sharing the responsibility to integrate the GJF into Career-Connect (HRIS platform) for assigned regions. Includes the execution of mindset change management activities according to project management timelines.
  • Be the key window of communication and implementation of company's Reward Guideline, sharing the responsibility to integrate said policy and guideline into the full HR value chain, such as Talent & performance management, CoE mobility program and design as well as other HR disciplines for the assigned regions.
  • Research and monitor R&R policies and practices to support with design and development of company's own R&R plans, giving to market practice, legislation as well as firm-wide global
  • Collaborate with team members, and propose improvements to R&R guidelines and plans to align with global standards.

Tactical

  • Where requested, generate and analyze R&R data that is aligned to Global CoE standards and communicate it to stakeholders, including business and function leaders, and HR leadership in assigned regions, content includes but is not limited to salaries, termed incentives, and all aspects of benefits.
  • Guide local HR compensation and benefits colleagues in effectively using compensation tools.
  • Work with and support internal stakeholders (e.g., Business units' HR, Finance, and other functional units) with R&R benchmarking applications and other data requests.
  • Cooperate with the team to support day-to-day administration of Mercer TRS and Comptryx salary tools for global stakeholders in over 40 countries.

Who we are looking for

  • Independent, results-oriented, meticulous, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Has high appetite for learning and personal development.
  • Understands links between reward and motivation, keen to build a regional/ global reward experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong partnerships with local and global HR colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Between 8 - 12 years' experience in applying compensation and benefits practices.
  • Analytical, mathematical, and data/information management skills
  • Effective communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders
  • Strong managerial, planning and project management skills
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English & Mandarin, Japanese language will be advantageous.

Desirables:

  • Knowledge of operating Mercer and/or other HR consultancy's reward tools.
  • Knowledge of Job Evaluation methodologies.
  • Experience working across regions.
  • Project experience is desirable.
