Job Description

  • Lead and mentor a team of electrical and mechanical engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement。
  • Oversee the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring product designs are scalable, cost-effective, and manufacturable。
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with business goals, while ensuring timely project execution and high-quality deliverables。
  • Track and manage development budgets and product costs, proactively identifying and resolving any cost challenges with key stakeholders。
  • Drive innovation by staying updated on industry trends and integrating advanced technologies such as embedded systems, microcontrollers, power electronics, RF communication, and IoT connectivity into product development。
  • Guide circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, EMC design, thermal management, and enclosure integration using tools like Altium Designer, Eagle, or Allegro。
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulatory standards including TUV, UL, FCC, and CE。
  • Interpret technical specification sheets, including mechanical components, to ensure alignment with project requirements。
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with software, industrial design, manufacturing, sourcing, and supply chain teams to achieve seamless integration and efficient production。
  • Coordinate with external partners, including component suppliers and testing labs, to ensure quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness。
  • Partner with project/program managers to define project timelines, allocate resources, assess risks, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget。
  • Promote DFM/DFA practices and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance product performance and reduce lifecycle costs。
  • Conduct regular one-on-one sessions and performance evaluations to support team development and maintain high execution standards。

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in hardware development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or Allegro.
  • Solid understanding of electromechanical systems, including microcontrollers, FPGAs, sensors, power supplies, and communication protocols (USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth).
  • Experience in system-level hardware integration, enclosure design, and mechanical considerations.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and align technical resources with business priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
