Job Description



  • Provide strategic leadership to the project management office (PMO), establishing best practices, performance metrics, and delivery frameworks.


  • Define and drive project portfolio planning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and resource availability.


  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, promoting accountability, skill development, and high-performance culture.


  • Oversee end-to-end execution of major programs, from initiation and scope definition through to completion and post-project evaluation.


  • Proactively manage budgets, schedules, and resources to optimize execution efficiency and mitigate risks.


  • Serve as a central point of contact for executive leadership, providing regular updates on progress, escalations, and key decisions.


  • Partner closely with business, technical, and operational teams to ensure project objectives are understood, achievable, and delivered with quality.


  • Implement effective risk and change management processes to address challenges dynamically.


  • Enhance cross-team communication, alignment, and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.



The Successful Applicant



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline (Master's degree a plus).


  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in project or program management, including 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity.


  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide or large-scale initiatives in a structured PMO environment.


  • Strong command of project management methodologies such as PMI, Agile, or hybrid models.


  • Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent preferred.


  • Outstanding communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.


  • Skilled in using modern project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent).



Preferred Background:



  • Experience in high-tech, engineering, or manufacturing industries.


  • Familiarity with continuous improvement principles like Lean or Six Sigma.


  • Proven ability to manage high-pressure situations with composure and focus.
