About Our Client
Our client provides advisory and capital raising services to corporate and government clients involved in public mergers and acquisitions, private treaty acquisitions and divestments, debt and equity fund raising and corporate restructuring. It also undertakes principal investing activities globally in support of its client activities.
Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible in working with our partners, advisors and team members to manage diverse Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) related elements for this project. You will interface seamlessly with the other commercial and technical package managers to ensure that the overall offshore wind development is successful and procured and delivered on time. You will support the contract leads on creating the procurement strategy for the relevant packages by identifying, tendering and selecting equipment suppliers, EPC and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contracts for our projects.
You will not only lead the procurement activities for the relevant package, but will have other involvement in negotiations of the package and work closely with the package manager to deliver the key technical/commercial requirements to ensure delivery of the package.
You will need to be equipped with detailed knowledge of all contract terms, employer and contractor obligations and manage the contract in line with its terms. At times, your input on commercial/contractual input will be called upon on interface issues that may arise within and/or between work packages. You will also be responsible for contract administration and responding to contractual matters as anticipated.
The Successful Applicant
With a bachelors' degree in law, finance, project manager or a related field, you will have at least 10 years' of prior experience with an energy developer, utility, turbine provider or similar, performing commercial package manager roles for offshore wind projects.
Your project management skills will allow you to communicate and liaise with clients to build and develop relationships. Quantitative and analytical skills are both your strengths and you are ambitious, motivated and have the drive to succeed within a team environment.
Finally, you are fluent in English (written and spoken) and in Mandarin
