About Our Client

Our client is a leading FMCG company with a wide portfolio of brands. They have a strong footprint in Asia market. They are now looking for a Business Head in Taiwan and oversee the business in both Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Job Description

  • Manage and oversee the daily operation and strategic planning of the organization, be accountable for the sales performances and profits for the Taiwan and Hong Kong businesses, including sales performance, marketing and company branding, cost management and budgeting, investment and organizational structure, as well as human resources and accounting.
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth, allocating resources to different projects and setting short-term and long-term department goals
  • Formulate and implement the strategic plan that guides the direction of the business, directing and overseeing an organization's budgetary and financial activities.
  • Drive continuous growth in sales and financial performance of all business units by optimizing resources and development of business strategy.
  • Maintain awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape: Seeking opportunities for expansion to gain market share, new industry developments and standards.
  • Assist in development and monitoring of the strategic plan for the organization and provide direction on ongoing and new projects.
  • Lead all teams to achieve strategic milestones and business targets * Design organizational processes and develop policies to support organization goals.
  • Understand and develop a broad array of business functions, interrelations to drive efficiency, growth and revenues, ensure that the appropriate metrics and processes are in place to quantify the impact of strategies.
  • Work with regional R&D or other function heads to drive for new product development and/or brand initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Management or related discipline is preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in managing sales & marketing of a sizable FMCG company or alike industries in Taiwan.
  • Strong business acumen with commercial mindset, excellent ability to drive integration with other marketing functions / business teams to maximize impact.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to build and grow connections with people from different culture and backgrounds
  • Adequate understanding across functions such as Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance etc.
  • A thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping people development and be productive, while keep driving profitable business.
  • Result-orientation, Intensity to win, Strategic planning, strong decision making, risk taking ability
  • Possess business acumen and work within cross functional teams, and ability to influence others
  • Project ownership, ability to manage conflict and multi-task, good interpersonal skills, an outgoing character
